“The challenge to participate in the Continental Atomic Marathon is to make a sequence shot that lasts 60 seconds, an animated short or a short documentary,” says Karina Gómez Franco, president of the Foundation for the Development of Arts and Culture (FUNDEARC), organizer of this competition that reaches its twelfth edition, where the use of any available technology serves to develop an audiovisual history.

The competition is from May 25 to 28, scheduled dates for filming and shipping of each short film, and participation extends to everyone in Latin America and beyond. “To refine details, social networks and e-mail are available to solve doubts and concerns, and the conditions to participate are found on our website www.fundearc.org, ” said Rhonny Roche, audiovisual coordinator of the Continental Atomic Marathon, in its three lines: Atom Cinema, Animation and Documentary.

The technological support to upload and send the registered short films is YouTube, an audiovisual social network that allows the visualization of the participating works and the participation of any person, thanks to the open nature of the digital medium.

The prizes in the three lines include scholarships to participate in international online courses and courses, in the prestigious training spaces Aula Ciete (Venezuela), Critical Classroom (Spain), and Loop School of Animation and Videogames (Colombia). In addition, the winners will also receive support accessories for audiovisual production by David & Joseph, along with passes to enjoy performances in movie theaters (for winners of Venezuela).
